Tucked deep in the countryside of Aurora, Kentucky, Tanglewood offers a quiet, rural, and rustic camping experience. We are truly off the beaten path—perfect for guests looking to unplug, relax, and enjoy nature. Due to our remote location, internet and cell service are limited, making our campground ideal for those seeking peace, outdoor recreation, and a slower pace of life.

We’re the closest full-hookup campground to Turkey Bay OHV Area, putting you just minutes from year-round ATV and off-road trails. Bring your ATV, side-by-side, Jeep, or motorcycle—and yes, golf carts are welcome. When the engines cool down, the campfire is waiting.
Just down the road, Kentucky Lake stretches out with over 2,300 miles of shoreline, hidden coves, and calm water. Boats are welcome, so bring yours along to enjoy fishing, paddling, or a full day on the water. Fish at sunrise, paddle or boat all afternoon, then after a long day outdoors, enjoy a peaceful evening back at your campsite surrounded by nature.
The campground is a great home base for hunting, fishing, and outdoor enthusiasts. Land Between the Lakes is well known for seasonal hunting opportunities, including deer, turkey, and small game (in designated areas and seasons).
With easy access to Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area, guests can enjoy hiking, boating, wildlife viewing, scenic drives, and more. If you’re looking for a laid-back RV campground near LBL, Tanglewood offers a relaxing stay close to some of the area’s best outdoor recreation.

The Rv its self was beautiful, just as pictured, and decorated so cute for fall. Everything was perfectly clean, with super comfy beds for the perfect weekend get away. I look forward to staying there again.

It was so cozy and comfy! We loved the covered porch and enjoyed playing games out there when it was raining. The campground pool was very nice and the grounds were well kept. We were just passing through the area and needed a one night stay. This was so much more fun than staying in a hotel. The campground was quiet and there were trees just across the camp road from the trailer. The refrigerator, kitchen and bathroom worked wonderfully for us and we used the heater as well. We were as toasty warm as we’d like. The deck and overhang above make for very nice areas to sit and sip on a beverage at any time of day. Any questions we had were answered quickly and accurately.
